Powersports Dealership ORV Product Trainer
We are looking for Powersports Product Coaches who will report to the ORV Training Project Manager, and who will be tasked to visit the eastern half US dealerships of our industry leading OEM client and coach their staff, helping them grow their ORV business. As part of your role, you’ll be influencing dealer retail activities through in-store product training and customer experience coaching in ways that also contribute to dealership and brand loyalty. You and a team partner will be at the forefront of driving growth in the ORV segment for our manufacturer client.

You will be part of a team that will produce and activate an on-going powersports product coaching tour, visiting select ORV dealerships across one of three eastern US territories. We’re making it easy for dealership staff to attend the training by going to them. Provide dynamic in-person product and sales coaching supported by a branded, mobile training package that includes key ORV models of both SXS and ATV lineups, providing dealership staff the intellectual tools needed to successfully market and retail their ORV.
The Three Main Attributes:
- Be a true product expert and credibly teach as an motivational communicator in a dynamic, engaging, and impactful manner. (We’ll train you on product)
- Be an expert traveler with the ability to be on the road for extended time frames and be a master of logistical planning and time management.
- Have the physical ability and skills to safely drive a truck and enclosed trailer, unload, and load vehicles and event equipment every day.
LOOK AT THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Share your passion and knowledge of ORV with dealership staff throughout your multi-state territory and teach them about product positioning, capabilities, and competitive advantages and coach them to provide their customers with the best ORV consumer journey.
- Cultivate brand love among dealerships by serving as an expert brand coach, pridefully dedicated to helping them grow their ORV business.
- Actively participate in and support a handful of select regional community and/or grassroots special events.
- Deliver territory-wide coaching excellence while adhering to budgets and effective time management. Complete expense reports, visit reports, equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with our policies.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Required:
- 3 plus years of powersports dealership or related experience
- Excellent verbal communication skills including the ability to convey technical elements and jargon in an easily understandable manner
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals
- Initiative and drive: demonstrated track record of leading and successfully delivering event planning and/or in-person projects.
- Passion and enthusiasm for the powersports industry and off-road vehicles
- Business acumen: understanding the dealership business and profit centers and the ability to recognize improvement opportunities of each
- This position includes partnering with a second specialist (teammate) to activate an ongoing ORV dealership training program within a multi-state territory. Residence within the assigned zone is an essential condition of employment for this role.
- Safe driver and very experienced driving with a trailer
- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and Google Drive Apps
- Detail-oriented with critical eye for quality, truth and accuracy
- Expert traveler – experience planning, booking, working on the road during the week
- Travel required is 90% 40-41 weeks a year active with 10-11 weeks off.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Powersports, automotive dealership, and/or industry experience
- Agricultural, Farm, Ranch experience
- Event or Sales Touring experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and problem-solve on the go
- Problem solving skills (‘McGyver’ skills big plus)
